  I use Speedee Delivery for my business to ship to customers not in the area. I always have had great service at the Bloomington office, they answer my questions, and I've never had any issue with delivery times or damage. Their rates cannot be beat and that is really important to me as a small business owner!

  As a former employee of the Normal center (who left on good terms), I can say that Speedee is hands-down the most poorly managed company I have ever worked for. The efficiency of their logistics is, frankly, a joke. Every night, tons of LTL's and packages would be left behind for at least another 24 hours due to late arrivals of trucks, shorthandedness of staff, lack of space on the outbound trucks, etc. And the attitude was simply that of "Oh well, there's always tomorrow." (Nevermind that paying customers are counting on those shipments to be delivered in a timely fashion.) And teamwork at the job site is virtually nonexistent because management doesn't care and flatly ignores (or even laughs off!) all suggestions from employees for ways to improve. Speedee prides itself on promotion from within, which is great in and of itself. The problem is that the company is being run by managers whose background is in driving a truck, not running a business. I don't like to say so, but I would never consider hiring them as a shipper.
